I have a friend of mine who does 1/4 of his runs with Vibrams (Bikila) and he really enjoys the feel that they give him (more natural running style). Does anyone on here actually have a pair? I am considering buying a pair, but I would like some feedback from some other runners.

I think getting Vibrams immediately is a guaranteed injury. But hell, what do I know?

Barefoot first, Vibrams later
Here's why:
With Vibrams, you can very easily do more than your feet are ready for without realizing it. You can also go much faster. This is a problem because that raises your chance of injury and you don't truly learn good barefoot form with Vibrams on. It's surprising that the 4mm or whatever it is of Vibram really does much but it's true.
I fully support the barefoot thing, but it doesn't seem feasible to go barefoot in the midst of your high school or college running career :/

i have a pair which i love and run in whenever i get the cahnce ( grass easy runs) i honestly use them the most when i go hiking but honestly take ur time getting used to them and its a great way to run barefoot and your coaches won't yell at u for actually running barefoot (thats why i got a pair)

I wear them as socks underneath my Kayanos. Works pretty well.

I love Vibrams ... I use them on my shorter runs (less than 4-5 miles)
