A couple months back my team went to Nationals out at Portland, Oregon. While there, I managed to pick up a brand new Nike Oregon track club singlet size medium. When I got back from Oregon, I put it up here, and had many offers from spikes, to clothes, and money. I followed through with a guy (who we will call Bill) who offerd me Nike pro half tights, full tights, racing singlet and shorts. So I took Bill up on his offer. He then replied "send me the singlet I'll send you the nike gear since my trade has more value". He seemed fairly trustworthy, so I got Bill's address and sent the singlet out to him in Boston, MA.

The first time he gave me the address he forgot the apartment number or something so it got sent back to me. After a couple weeks for Christmas break, I got back home and sent it out again to the same address only this time with the correct apartment number. Bill also requested that I get a tracking number. So I sent it out and gave Bill the tracking number. I spent a couple more dollars and got the 2 day delivery just to make sure.

A couple days later I get an e mail saying it has been deliverd at 8:57am. Here comes the bad part. Apparently Bill claims he never received the singlet and has been in contact with the USPS multiple times trying to find out what happened to it. From the sound of it, Bill seems to be telling the truth, and I personally think it probably was just left out in the mailbox and somebody yanked it, or it just got misplaced.

Anyway, I feel like I held up my deal and after what now is 3 weeks, Bill has yet to find out what happened. I believe Bill should still hold up his side of the deal, even if he didn't receive the singlet. I did nothing wrong and sent it to the correct address he gave me. What do you Track Talk guys think?

I do not think that he should have to hold up on his end. He now he would have to send out $150(?) in stuff and not get anything from it. When he said "Send me the singlet.." I believe it reasonably should be assumed that he would receive it (and not just the act of putting in in the mail) - further, I feel he reinforced this by wanting you to send yours first.

I think perhaps it would be nice if he reimbursed you for some of it - maybe some money for your effort + whatever you paid for shipping. You put for a greater effort to at least give him superior (tracked and 2nd day) shipping, so he should at least help with this.

Maybe he would be willing to sell the stuff to you at a better price, but I don't think this or any other solution satisfies what you really want.

He needs to hold up his end of the deal. You sent it to the correct address, got a tracking #, and it shows it delivered. As far as I can tell you did everything within your power for it to arrive to him. I'll go so far to say as he most likely did receive the singlet; I've bought/sold/traded ~200 times on forums and have experienced exactly 2 claims of failed delivery. Both conveniently occurred when there was no tracking/delivery confirmation # to prove delivery.

Things don't get lost in the mail nearly as often as people claim. And the chances of someone stealing his package are extremely low. That sort of stuff may happen if you ship an Xbox 360 in the original box but not a generic package with some sort of cloth item inside.

I don't know either of them but that seems very shifty, and if you haven't noticed, people in general have questionable integrity/morals.

Make sure that if you're showing pictures, that you don't take them of every angle except the one with the giant 2" gash in them. Yes they are legit because not many people liked the Xc so there are a lot left over. I don't even think it is possible to counterfeit spikes lol
