Hi theree, can anyone out there let me know what the head XC and or Track coach for Cal State Lb is like? What's his approach to training? What are his principles? Do you like him? Why? Does he consider your past training or does he just plug you into a cookie-cutter program? What IS his program? Man i have so many questions..

I am an alumni. It's a big time commuter school. No campus life at all. The bar scene is really good if you are 21. The biggest sporting events to attend are woman's volleyball and baseball. The campus is close to the beach and the weather is great. Not sure about the coaching philosophy but they have done a good job with the athletes they have. The distance coach must know his stuff and has been there a few years. There was a lot of turnover for a while but not lately.

Are you about to start school there this fall and have had no contact with the coach? Have you had contact with anyone else from the athletic department about clearinghouse and such?
Because if no one has talked to you, how do you know you're on the team?
