It has come to my attention that I jacked up the all-time holmdel team times list by uploading an older version thus losing the most updated copy I have. http://nj.milesplit.com/pages/xcatholmdelteam if you could post the updates necessary in this thread I could get the list updated. It would be most appreciated

it's interesting to note that WWP-N is 2nd with their top 5 times coming only from the past 2 seasons.

Pretty amazing...as I'm doing this, just looking at some of the historical data.

25 "teams" (3 from CBA) now have combined times under 81:00, with a whole bunch knocking on the door.

When I started looking into this a few years ago, there were half as many. Bernards, which was the "It" program of the late 70s/early 80s is now barely in the top 20.

North Hunterdon, with all those studs in the 80s and of course, Heff, finally managed to extend their lead this past weekend.

A guy like Eric Savoth, who ran 13:33 post-collegiate, barely makes the CBA "D" team (I gave the him edge to Dan Heffernan, both with the same time. Savoth went to Georgetown. D. Heffernan did not.) They day is not too far off when CBA will have 10 guys under 16:00.

Cherokee, who was dominant in the early part of this decade, and was 4th or 5th, now suddenly finds itself outside the top 10, as a bunch of teams have shot into the top 10 (Delbarton, WWPN, Ocean City)

Ridgewood bumps itself back into the top 10. Hard to believe that Bob Keino might not be the school record holder at the end of the season.

Lots of the teams outside the top 20-30 are mostly guesswork on the part of the people who keep the lists.

As Matt noted above, the format helps a lot:

The list is only as good as the data. For the most part, there is good data stretching back to 1997 or so. Before that, it gets difficult.

Please help out if you can. Especially true for coaches who might have access to school records, files, etc.
