NoMoMoMo posted an informative piece on the playground on this topic. Since all LLers only drink in moderation the info is of no direct use. Sometimes we are called upon to help other less enlightened souls and the info might come in handy at that time.
Since one of the LL missions is promoting the spread of sound science globally; WiT urges you to read the link and put some coconut water in your pantry today.

As you might suspect WiT has a coconut water story running back to the days when he was paid to promote The Rums of Puerto Rico.

The question is "what is a hang over?"

LOL!

B) need to wear dark shades anyone?

Yeah, WiT, I of course posted that PURELY for the nutritive interest,
and NOT because I thought anyone on this site might ever actually
need a hangover cure.

But, you know, as long as you're rehydrating, might as well get rid of
that, er, headache at the same time, huh?

This is easy, but you have to do all of this before you fall in bed that night:

1. Drink 20+ ounces of Gatorade.

2. Take 2-3 multivitamins (Centrum, etc.)

3. Take 3-4 ibuprofen.

Those three are requirements. Optional are:

4. A dose of Benadryl

5. A dose of psuedoephedrine.

That last two really help with the stuffiness, bloodshot eyes, etc.

Disagree with taking the ibuprofen. That can really take a number on your liver. I guess it's a decent idea if you only drink occasionally.

You're thinking of acetaminophen (Tylenol) rather than ibuprofen. It's acetaminophen that really screws with your liver when mixed with alcohol.

While we're on drink recipes, check out the smoked bourbon at Manifesto in Kansas City, Missouri. I haven't tried it yet but I'm dying to. Guy I office with has had it and says it's the best drink he's ever had. Also the most expensive drink in the bar.

Aw man, Zat...that looks great. My mouth is watering.

Nothing better to me than great whiskey/bourbon and small plates at a nice restaurant.

There's a great small plates place the lady and I found here in Philly only two blocks from her place...very inexpensive small plates specials at happy hour, and top shelf stuff. I've worked in 4 Star quality restaurants and know food. This is great stuff.

I loved smoky flavor in stuff too, so this looks unreal. Seems to be an offshoot of the Hooka craze...but a sound one.

I'm lucky...while beer makes me tipsy pretty quickly, I'm seemingly immune to the effects of whiskey. Can enjoy all night long...

Wit, great post. Ha.

I was fortunate to house sit for a multi-millionaire friend once. He had tons of Cuban cigars and $1,000 bottles of UNREAL Scotch from small distilleries in Scotland.

Scotch is usually a bit too stiff for even my hardened palate...but this stuff was so smooth, it went down like water in the middle of the desert.

His instructions for the week were "feel free to consume anything and everything, feel free to have people over, just don't burn the place down".

My Entourage week. B)

10+ miles. Seriously, it feels like you're bleeding out the alcohol.
