I love winter running. the cold pretty much takes 0:20 per mile off at the same efforts for me. Will post epic stories when i have time.

I wouldn't mind winter running if people shoveled their sidewalks.

-can't run on grass because its either frozen or covered in snow
-I hate having to wear lots of clothes
-I hate that it gets dark at 4:00
-I hate how windy it is
-I hate all the icy patches on the roads

I do enjoy running in fresh snow but that is about it.

I agree with all these points and it is annoying, but I too enjoy the winter season outside of running very much.

one time I was running down a street in the snow and...... I fell. In fact this has happened on numerous occasions. Crazy huh!?

if you really want to improve you'll get over yourself and get outside. dreadful morning runs and cold ass workouts are what champions are made of. i hate running in the snow, but i love the feeling of a good workout

This is what I don't like mostly, otherwise I'm cool with being outside when it's like 0 F and -20 windchill. Yay for Wisco!!!

It is snowing right now and we have about 3-4 inches of fresh snow on the roads. I just back got from my run and I can tell you that it was less than enjoyable. For me, I like running after the roads have been plowed and the sidewalks have been shoveled.

The thing that I love most about winter running is slipping and falling on my ass! But thanks to this stress fracture, I have to miss it :mad:


But truthfully, not running sucks, especially during blizzards. Running in blizzards gives me this divine, BA feeling.

pretty much this. i like winter in general, and i'm not a huge wimp about the cold, but running in the winter blows.

I hate the winter and cold weather im running or not. It just sucks. Plus the extra clothes part is annoying as well as the wind :-\
