Who do you pick to win the Super Bowl?

I'm going with the Packers...because My Beauty is playing the electric guitar now and Joan Jett thinks the Packers will win this year. (what does it have to do with it...I don't know other than I may have a rocker on my hands)

In reality I'm picking the Packers because I met the team (way back in the 80's) and watched them practice.

The Steelers I know, I know, have won 3 out of the last 6 years...(I think).

It's doesn't really matter to me...I'd just like to watch a good game (on the BIG,BIG screen, of course) and I'm paying more attention to the menu than anything else. Have teens, must please.

I am rooting for Aaron Rodgers!

One of the highlights of the Super Bowl other than the commericals...and the game, of course..is the menu..

Buffalo wings. MMmmmmm!

Where's what we're having..and we're starting today..(I may fall asleep tomorrow night and miss out on some of the fun...so, we're begining the festivites Today!! TA-DA!!



16 chicken wings (about 3 pounds)
1/4 pound (1 stick) unsalted butter 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (http://www.foodterms.com/encyclopedia/cayenne-pepper/index.html)
4 teaspoons Frank's Hot Sauce, or 1 teaspoon Tabasco
1 teaspoon kosher saltPreheat the broiler.

Cut the chicken wings in thirds, cutting between the bones. Discard the wing tips. Melt the butter and add the cayenne, hot sauce, and salt. Put the wings on a sheet pan and brush them with the melted butter. Broil them about 3 inches below the heat for 8 minutes. Turn the wings, brush them again with the butter, and broil for 4 more minutes or until cooked.

Sauce

Ok the recipe for the wings..is good...but not quite what we are looking for...we like more cayenne pepper. And we're not going to broil..I think a very hot oven would work better.And we're going to do a dry rub. Just for added info.

So today is the big day.

While I'm borderline-indifferent on the game, I'll pull for the Packers in support of one of my co-workers, who is slightly beyond normal retirement age but still hard at it... he wears the Packer jacket, the stocking cap, and flies the Packer flag on his van everywhere he goes. Since the company is headquartered out of Chicago, and since the Bears and the Pack met in the play-offs, I wondered how his very visible green and yellow fanaticism would fly with HQ, but they don't seem to mind.

Steelers plus 3 1/2 looked like a collect for a moment at the end.
