Would you buy a pair of Jasari spikes if nike rereleased them and they were $110?

Ps. This is for a Research Paper/Letter to Nike all info will help me. Thanks!

While it is an iconic spike, in terms of functionality it's been surpassed by the Tumbos/Vics, and if it were to be re-released then it would lose some of its rarity/iconicness (is that a real word?). So all in all I don't think it should be re-released.

but the question was would you buy them, not if it wouldn't be an icon.

I wish they would release the jasari upper and an eldo plate

but seriously they destroyed the molds for that plate already.

I phrased this poll bad. I agree with CoryC it should not be the exact same shoe. If Nike was to redesign the spike like different material for the upper or put a different plate and keep the upper i think that a lot of us would buy a pair. Another thing to think about is next year is an Olympic year and maybe they already have some idea for this and we just do not know yet.

No, I've owned a pair of those and hated the plate/midsole.

I would purchase a pair, but only if the plate had wells for removable pins. All the track we run on don't allow Christmas tree spikes.

So what i am getting from this is most people would like them redesinged.

^Well

I don't necessarily think they can be redesigned.

The two sided upper was sorta revolutionary/iconic. It set them apart as unique....now, almost every brand has something similar (Asics Turbo Phantom being an example, Adidas MD)

Can also be argued that Nike was making the best plates at the time....The Eldo, Kennedy, Jasari, Vent plates. I can't really think of anything memorable from other brands of the time. Now there are probably more(?) quality similar plates (LBS1005, Miler/victory, avanti) - theres probably more parity now in terms of design

The focus on light shoes...they're not the lightest. So especially with the minimalist trend, their looks and reputation might be the only thing to support them.

My personal analysis would be that they would have to be re-released exactly for them to succeed (so as not to lose the cache their name has), but they'd be out shined by other brands, and even nike - even though they were nike's flagship shoe
