Can you please be a little more specific on places and keep events together? This is extremely scattered and hard to read/understand.

Deanna Latham's prelim time in the 100mH destroyed the Massachusetts state record, which I have as 14.0h and a 14.04 from 1978 (I THINK it was 1978; I don't have the list on this computer. . .I'm pretty sure it was one of the Falmouth runners).

Can't wait to see what she does in the finals.

Latham ran in the finals last night, going 14.21 into a 0.6 headwind for sixth. The 13.93 was with a 1.8 tailwind, for reference.

Is Andover's 3:18.08 a state record? The fastest time I can find is Brockton's 3:18.55 from 1979.

Yes, this is a state record, surpassing Brockton's mark.

Latham's mark is also a state record. The old record, according to John Carroll, her coach was: 14.1h Anne Jennings, Falmouth, NE HS Champs, Salem, NH 1980

From Larry Newman:
The Methuen High School boys 4 x one-mile relay squad set a Massachusetts all-time record this

morning, finishing in sixth place at the New Balance National Outdoor Track and Field Championships in

Greensboro, North Carolina.

The Ranger foursome of Andrew Stamatopulos [4:25.3], Jared Reddy [4:20.8], Ben Pare [4:19.8] and Cam Kelley [4:27.8] clocked 17:33.79, shattering the old Mass. outdoor mark by more than 16 seconds.

The previous mark, 17:50.11, was set by the Minutemen from Lexington HS at the 2005 Nike Outdoor Nationals in finishing third.

Finishing second overall, and setting a New England record in the event, was Bishop Hendricken High School of Warwick Rhode Island. Their time of 17:20.21, broke the previous New England mark of 17:24.49 [Glastonbury, Ct. '09]. Five of the top seven teams were from New England, including Daniel Hand
[Madison, Ct.-3rd] 17:23.42, also under the old record; Bishop Guertin [Nashua, NH-4th] in 17:29.35 and
Weston [Weston, CT-7th] in 17:40.38.

Not that it matters at this point, but Brookline, not Lexington, held the previous record of 17:50.11 set in 2008.

I can't find any proof of Brookline's 2008 4xMile run. Was it run at a state relays meet that I've overlooked?

The 17:50.11 was run in a 3rd place showing for Lexington by Archie Abrams, Geoff Rodriguez, Paul Morris, and Willi Ballenthin.

That's pretty funny that they had the same time, but technically Brookline's was for the 4x1600, not the 4xmile, so the record was Lexington's.

Whoa! That is insane, down to the hundredth of a second in a 4xmile?!?

Impressive stuff. The Lexington run still baffles me considering that they got destroyed by the top two teams. And look at who was on that "Kroy" team? Good stuff.

Lexington alos had a future 800m state champ(Longo) at school, but not even on the squad that ran that time as well. It was my junior year, so I can't quite remember but I feel like he'd already run 2:30 low and 4:25ish indoor when they set that record outdoors.
On paper the A team was Willi (4:18 or so), Archie (4:17), Morris (4:21 or so), and Longo (4:25)

Also impressive is that York's 'B' team got 4th place (just behind Lexington) out of the slow heat
