I've recently taken a 3 month break from running because of an extremely demanding internship. I was working 12-15 hour days in a kitchen, on my feet the entire time with no breaks. I was really excited to start running again, but unfortunately the skin on my big feet has become very dried out for whatever reason, and started to crack on my second run. There are two cracks in the skin at the same place on each big toe, on the outside edge of the toe. I tried to just run through it at first, but it has become painful to the point where I'm hobbling around just walking. I've been using a moisturizer on it which has been helping. Should I suck it up and run, or wait for it to heal? Does anybody have any experience or advice with this issue?
