Hello New York,
We would like to extend an invitation to any coaches who might be interested in coming to an exciting meet. We had some non-New Jersey people last year, and we will get the meet sanctioned for teams interested in coming to our event.
Online registration is already up at njrunners.com: http://nj.milesplit.com/meets/86302
The meet will be the Saturday after Penn - May 7th - starting at 3:30 (field) and 4:30 (on the track). We will have highlighted events and finals under the lights, and we plan on having the same set up as last year.
There were some terrific performances in just the first year that we held the meet. Some highlights:
-boys 5k had 8 guys under 15:30 (4 under 15:10 with Rosa just missing the state record)
-boys 1500 had 7 guys under 4:02 - Colin Baker running a national season best at the time of the race
-girls 1500 had 4 girls break 4:50
-12 girls over 5' in the high jump
-boys 4x800 with the exciting finish between Father Judge, Lawrenceville Prep, and Kingsway
-2 boys over 22' in long jump
-18' 10" long jump from Tonya Brown
