3200m
Connor Winter hit 9:09 at altitude.
Will Kincaid ran 9:06 at sea level with a 9:16 earlier in the season.
Spencer Wenck has run 9:19, but is in 4A instead of 5A.
The record is 9:05.
I really think the record will be broken at state if there is good weather.
1600m
Michael Ceronia 4:14
Connor Winter 4:15
Wenck 4:17
Record=4:10
They are farther off, but no serious attempts have been made.
800m
Nolan Mayhew 1:53
Connor Winter 1:54 (ran 1:52 in competition last year)
Record=1:51
This is a long shot, but state 800m times seem to be incredibly fast compared to in-season times.
Finally Winter won all three events last year in some very smart races against athletes and 4x800m record is being pressured by Cheyenne Mountain, but I don't know if they can cut 9sec off. I really want to see if the state 3200m record can go sub-9. Thoughts?

I'm fairly sure that was the first legitimate post in the history of Colorado. That said, I also know for a fact that Luke Verbus has run faster than all of those times.

I just want to bring some actual talk to the CO boards, but I think I am alone.
The reason I brought it up was that Brent Vaughn holds the current record. He went to CU, Winter is going to CU, and Vaughn is running pretty close to world class times. I wonder if any CO kids could be are next elites because frankly they never get any recognition for their accomplishments. We seem to be forgotten when it comes to national elites because we run at elevation. the adjustment is around 15sec, that is a 8:54 at least. 4th time in the nation by 5sec while running by himself unlike the current leaders. These are salty times.

Well nobody broke the records, but there was some salty performances.
Connor Winter swept the titles again this year, and if he goes after a race in the flat land. I bet he can beat many of the flatlanders after altitude adjustments for his races.
Oh, and Boris Berian ran 1:52.low and then a 46.93 after a lot of previous races and preliminaries. I think that is plenty fast especially given that the boys could of run the 800 much faster if it was paced remotely decent with no mad dash with 300m to go. Seriously watch the video on colorado milesplit. Its impressive.

Salty eh? That sounds quite compelling. I think I'm going to move to CO and break some state records.

Those are some pretty weak records.
I doubt Verbus could come close to any.

Remember the altitude. it may not affect the locals so much, but flatlanders tend to struggle hardcore when they race at elevation. Look at the NCAA elevation conversions and compare it to performances. They are accurate. Our distance runners are under appreciated because we don't run mega-invitationals or generally compete after season. None of them ran record times, so i guess I cant say much there. If Connor Winter races out of season I bet on him against anyone other than Lukas.

Quite the bold one. Edward Cheserek much? Craig Lutz? Chubs? All of them could take on Winter in a heartbeat.

I am ashamed to know you after you just said that.

I forgot about Cheserek, but Winter over Lutz. He has only run 8:52/4:11 this season (although he is just starting to peak). Unfortunately I don't see a matchup coming anytime soon.

I think you need to find some more people that actually live in Colorado to post here. Because I find it hard to argue about people I don't know.
