Things are starting to heat up....just looking at distance events, cammer collabella and coneys are at 9:29 for the 3200, DeMatteos double 4:26 1600/9:48 3200, joe ray and cole conte 6:18/6:19 2k steeple, krause and calamia going 9:50 and 9:55 in the 3k steeple.....things are shaping up to be a stellar championship season. Its dissapointing that barely anyone posts in the NY thread/forums anymore, maby this can start it up again.

James Burke (Port Jefferson) broke his own NYS 8th Grade record in the 1,600 today, by running 4:23.14, and finishing in 3rd place at the Section 11 State Qualifier Meet.

By the way, I'm sick and tired of the moron's who post on these boards and purport to know what they're talking about. I've been around the sport for 40+ years and know what the hell I'm talking about. I'll never listen to someone who is younger than some of the underwear I have in my drawer...lol.... :p

The exclamation mark goes inside the quotations, not outside. <--- x 2

When you use a question word like "why," you have to use a question mark (?). An exclamation mark implies you don't have a question, so I'm not going to give you an answer. Even if it's a rhetorical question you still need a question mark.

"Track Talk" is considered one word. TrackTalk.

Finally, if you are using quotation marks then what is inside the marks has to be something that has either been said by someone else or implied by someone else. Since "'Boy Blunder'" (apostrophes inside of quotations because I am quoting something you quoted) isn't something someone else said or implied, that is wrong. The same goes for "'negativity.'" "'Don't'" is a little different because it is kind of a saying that a lot of people share, but not really. You've made so many mistakes already that I'll give you a pass on this one. At any rate, it shouldn't be capitalized.

Maybe if you had spent 40+ years in the classroom instead of spending that time watching sweaty, barely-clothed teenagers run, you would be able to present a more intelligent argument.

What about my posts "ooze 'negativity'"?(Question mark goes outside because your original statement wasn't a question) Since I don't post like a teenage girl, using smilies and lots of exclamation marks like you, I am always negative? I would go so far as to argue that you, and the majority of the people here, are negative. You see, I have a different sense of humor. Honestly, it doesn't matter to me if other people get it or not. But sometimes I think it's funny when I post something that I think is funny (extra funny) and someone responds so seriously (eh000 and those gay people).

I wasn't joking about the kid from Port Jeff, though. He'll run 4:17 his sophomore year and peak. He might dip under 4:15, but 4:10 is out of his reach.

Moving on, you can't say "everyone is sick and tired of [my] remarks" because, duh, take a look at my rep, Man Mistaken! Obviously some people understand different kinds of humor other than Tosh and Gaffigan.

Lastly, why does the Playground exist if posters should only add things that are productive? I've offered very little productive thinking in my time here and considering I've only been banned once (and I definitely deserved it and knew it was going to happen when I was typing the post out), the mods--who are some of the most annoying and foolish people I've ever had the misfortune of coming in Internet contact with--obviously disagree with you. For these mods to disagree with you on a matter of contributing to forum discussion, you cannot even begin to comprehend how wrong your platform is.
