I've always wanted to do blessing of the fleet. i never have though. I think I'll do it this year. Last year, I was going to but did a triathlon in shape (training for which got me in awesome shape for xc)

Measured 2.94 on the winner's (Pat Rich, Hamilton-Wenham and Ipswich Coach) Garmin watch, supposed to be a 5k but they ended up cutting out part of it by accident, wasn't marked well, first person that finished the full 5k ran 17:10

I second the Brockton RR. It's every Wednesday at 7 and 3.63 (according to my watch) but the put 3.75 in the results for whatever reason. Typically some decent competition there. FWIW, I'll be a regular there for the remainder of the summer.

Great Race, would highly recommend it. Out and back teardrop course gradual uphill out and downhill back but pretty even/flat overall. Great giveaways and a good crowd as well.
