Just received this press release and thought many of you would be interested. It's not too often we get a member on the US Mountain Running Team. Congrats, Billy!

The 2011 U.S. Junior Mountain Running Team has been named and includes Oliver Bear Don't Walk, 18, Everson, WA, Chase Caulkins, 19, Ketchum, ID/Portland, OR, Billy Fayette, 18, Clarendon Hills, IL, Ryan Lee, 19, Wilmington, DE, Krisztina Dearborn, 19, Mirror Lake, NH, Clare Moretz, 18, Madison, VA, and Lara Shegoski, 19, Belle Mead, NJ. Juniors must be at least 16 in the year of competition and not yet 20. The juniors will compete at the World Mountain Running Championships in Tirana, Albania, on September 11.

I saw this guys name on a start list for USATF, is that really a person? I thought it was a joke

yes, real person.


did some research because I know zip about mountain running.

The junior men ran a 8.5k race last year. The winning time last year was 42:30, with second place being 46:00. So, obviously, its a hard race to run.
