I like the cheap kind. It's that way for most condiments. Not mustard though, I need good mustard.

Chunky and super spicy.

Spicy. And not American spicy. American spicy is like yellow mustard. Weaksauce.
Consistency doesn't matter as much, but if I'm eating chips, it's gotta stay on the chip.

at chipoltle I get mild, but most salsa's I prefer medium.

Homemade is the way to go. I like to make it relatively spicy, nothing blazing but I want to feel a little fire. :) I also like copious amounts of cilantro.

Not really a fan of chunky stuff but I can deal with it. Spicy is good. My favorite:

Although I usually need a few glasses of milk/water afterwards before I can feel my mouth again. Also really like the hot salsa at Chipotle...get it every time.

this thread is teasing me. I want salsa but we dont have chips...
It needs to be thick and not too runny, but not huge chunks. I want the flavor or the salsa, not individual pieces of tomato.

Got some mango peach salsa from costco. absolutely no heat, but interesting flavor.

Oh my gard I hate cilantro. I'm too Americanized, I guess. I don't know if I should capitalize that.
At Baja Sol a few weeks ago, their featured salsa was this perfect-blend-of-chunky-and-runny pineapple salsa and it was hands down the best salsa I've ever had.

Chunky and spicy. The best tomato salsa IMO:

For green salsa, Whole Foods used to make a salsa so good my Dad would buy 3 cans a week because we'd both eat it straight (no chips necessary). They stopped making it as far as I can tell, which blows.
For all who haven't tried On the Border brand chips do so and heat them up, too. Really tastes like restaurant chips.

This is the only store-bought salsa I've had that was too spicy for me. That being said, it was amazing.
