NXN Non-School Uniform Enforced?

I was wondering for the Regional qualifying meets, how enforced is the "you can't use a school uniform" rule? I don't know if my team has uniforms that we could use that aren't from our school to be honest. Should we just cover up the school name or just lie and say we bought them?

Just go to Wal-Mart and buy some wife-beater t-shirts. If you don't like white, get a bottle of dye while you're there and make them any color you want.

The thing to remember, however, is its not the race itself that presents the biggest issue, its the governing body of the individual states. Even if the race officials/rules might allow a certain uniform, its very possible that the State governing body has rules against it and will suspend the coach and/or runners if a school uniform is worn. And with all of the pictures that are readily available online after the race, its not hard to find and prove if a team does so.

I'd just get different singlets to be safe. You can use it in road races, if nothing else.

I didn't want to impose on my teammates to have to buy uniforms, so we're borrowing some our local running store, we just have to buy our own shorts (so instead of having to buy shorts and a shirt, its just the shorts for 4 of them)
