The thought came to my mind. Could Hauger be the best MN High School runner ever?
Her times are easily the best a runner has thrown down since Tollefson walked all over the competition. The only thing that is stopping me from crowning Hauger is her post-season accomplishments. She hasn't Q'd for FLN and her one race at NXN wasn't all that impressive.
I believe she has the potential to be top 5 at NXN and top 10 at FLN this year. It is likely premature to crown her the best MN runner ever, but wanted your thoughts.

If there is one thing holding me back, its that she still has a year and a half of high school competition left. During that time, she could either stagnate, get even better (which would probably undoubtedly make her the best all time), or go the unfortunate path of so many talented high shool girls and get worse with maturity. Due to her absolutely astounding abilities right now, I tend to lean away from that option, but anything can happen in a year and a half.

Thing is she has good coaching and they have adapted to her ability, unlike some coaches who don't adapt too well when they get studs that they've never dealt with.

She is a talent - no doubt about that. I'll wait until her High School career is complete before giving her the title as "Best Ever". Enjoy watching her race when given the opportunity.
