Disclaimer, i dont run the 400 besides 4x400 relays.

If you run only the 400m go with maxcats. You could possibly stretch it down to the 200m, but they wont be as aggressive or stiff as the superflys. They are made for the 400m and are a solid shoe from what i hear.

The Superflys are a 100/200 spike if i recall correctly.

Very good and popular spike for the 100-400. More aggressive than the Maxcats.

I love my Maxcat 2s in the 400. Dyestat used to say that you should do the Powercat/Ja if you're a power sprinter and the Maxcat if you're more technical. But they're both great choices and are both used at the professional level.

Maxcat 3's or Asics Turbo Phantom 3's? Which one is more aggressive, and which is better for events outside of the 400?

Which events are you talking about? There are a lot outside of the 400.

I would use them for the 400, but both spikes can be used up to the 800 (theoretically). I dont really like superfly plates for the 400 because i consider them too stiff. These are the alternatives I have found.
