Johnny Abraham @ Wrentham = 15:52
Sam Conway @ Amherst = 15:58
Dan Romano @ OS = 16:08
Chris Skelly @ Manchester = 16:12

Are the times that Montague/Schlichting ran yesterday (15:38 & 15:48) "faster" than what is above? Having never been to Cold Spring Park, I am looking for those that have been, to give us all a sense of where those times "rank" vs. the other top performances so far this year.

Is it possible that Montague/Schlichting will go 1/2 at EMASS D1 and AS's?

Even if Montague/Schlichting went 1-2 in the EMass D1 meet if it was run today it would appear from running the meet thru Milepslit that NN would only place 4th (behind Lowell, CRL & Peabody) based on times run so far this season & they would fall even further if you included all of AS D1 results - are they a little "over rated" based on results to date in the MA Milesplit poll?

To answer some of your questions - knowing CS fairly well my opinion is that these times are better than any posted in Invites this year. Course record at CS is 15:34 by Chris Barnicle which gives an indication of how good these times are.

Yes it is entirely possible if not likely Montague and Schlichting could go 1-2 at EMASS and AS and while a "virtual" meet May have NN 4th right now by 5k seasonal bests over different courses, I would not want to bet that's where they will finish. There are several very good teams in EMASS D1 that will make for a very exciting meet.

BTW - the poll you refer to is the MSTCA poll which Milesplit publishes but does not produce. There is a difference just like there is a difference between the MSTCA and the MIAA.

Default HELLO Dual County says CRL

In what one official described as a heated meeting this morning, the Greater Boston League athletic directors voted 3-2 in favor of letting Cambridge leave in June of 2014 to join the Dual County League . The dissenting votes were cast by Medford and Malden.

Wither the GBL which has barely been a league for many years now.

agreed - that's odd
Quick look at Globe standings shows a couple highly ranked D2 schools at 3-3... and Manchester beat some ranked squads at Wrentham.

Rankings will improve after Twilight if turnout is a good as expected
