well unfortunately doesn't look like we are going to get too many comments here so if we don't my blog has some conversation in the comments that may interest anyone on this topic ... www.etrain11.blogspot.com ... but obviously i'd rather have the conversation be here ... it's easier to read and to keep track of where we start and end and stuff like that

One would think they both have a shot at PDX..... One as an auto behind CBA, the other as an at large.....they'd have to battle Pembroke among others

King, being a PA guy I can tell you that THIS at Belmont ... is pretty absurd

1 Savage, Dan 12 Cardinal Ohara 15:56.00 1
2 Pitone, Ernie 12 Cardinal Ohara 16:00.00 2
3 Jame, Kevin 10 Cardinal Ohara 16:08.00 3
4 coyle, Tom 12 Lasalle 16:20.00 4
5 Hayes, Matt 12 Cardinal Ohara 16:31.00 5
6 Pastore, Chris 12 Cardinal Ohara 16:33.00 6
7 Belfatto, Jim 11 Cardinal Ohara 16:35.00

I'm not into the course conversations or anything ... but this is REALLY good. Regional Meet should be really good..

I would dare say Belmont lines up with Holmdel fairly well

I am surprised they had not been closer to CBA when they ran, this would be about a 16:11-16:15 estimated avg.

Coyle who is a 1:51/and a 4:12 miler was beaten
handiliy by their front 3

What I've found over the years is that it can line up to Holmdel but doesn't always. Seems like PCL (Philly Catholic League) guys go faster at Belmont as NJ guys go faster at Holmdel, which only makes sense because of the frequency on and familiarity of their respective courses. 15:50 there is cookin ... and 3rd man so close to that says they're loaded up front. We had a guy years ago, Ellwood, who ran 16:44 on both courses within 2 weeks of each other. The toughest thing for PA teams is that their State Meet is in like 10 days so they have to hold their peak longer than most anyone ... on the East coast at least.

This is all just my opinion ... which is completely worthless.

But great work to the O'Hara guys. That's a really good program that has been quietly successful for a long time.
