My first thought is will the decision of the relays allowing two teams per section to advance effect distance runners decisions?

I could see a lot more 3200/4x8 doubles now. Maybe that new rule won't have an effect though.

There are a bunch of top runners, Ellingson/Macon/Thorson/Ketterson/O'Brien/Docherty to name a few. My guess would be a time around 9:16-9:17, very similar to last year.

I guarantee Riley Macon wins it in 9:10 or under.

Weather could still be bad and the "Winning Time -- Boys Class AA 3200" could be quite a bit slower then at Hamline....

Also depends on if someone will take it out. After all, the main objective is winning (and not necessarily running a stud time). But of course, strategy ad weather often go hand in hand...

Try as I may, I just can't put this group of runners in the same category as the Heath/Mead/Finnerty/Lumbar/Blankenship/Torchia/etc... years. Even considering the results of the Hamline meet, I don't think they will be any faster than 9:10. UNLESS, the day is perfect and warrents a fast start.

I guarantee Connor Olson wins it in a North Stars jersey.
