We lost a pretty strong senior class and with the way the D1 race went out last year I really do not think that we will see anybody under 9:10. Now I think it was the Monona Grove Invite where McKenna showed that he can be a force! The question is what runners are capable of running under 9:10?
I can think of a pretty good list. Zen is your poll for the entire season or just the State Meet? |

Schubert, Hacker, Meister (if he runs it), Penzenstadler (if he runs it), Robbie McDonald, Sandvold
I think these guys have the capabilities to run 9:0x if they set a good pace. Schubert looked to good at the end of the Cross Country season to bet against him. He ran roughly the same time as Elliot Krause on parkside, and Elliot ran 9:09 that spring. Meister, Hacker, and Penz are all coming off very good cross country seasons, and all posses the talent to run under 9:10. Anyone else excited for track? |

Definitely! There are going to be quite a few match-ups between Schubert and Penzenstadler this year (as usual) and if they get a nice day at Titan Stadium I can definitely see them pushing each other to some very nice times.
