These should definitely be separated by divisions, many division 2 and 3 schools deserve awards that d1 schools got. i.e. Shorewood and Kenosha St. Joseph won state, but Shorewood defeated St. Joes by 10 points, so Dominic Newman should have won the District 7 coach of the year award. Not Jim Kearney becasue Marquette was state runner ups.

State Winning Coaches are exempt from the District Honors. They earn Coach of the Year for winning their Division. So Jim Kearney being voted by his peers tend to make since.

Oh, I didn't know that it worked that way. Then I do agree with Kearney getting the award.

so the committee couldn't choose one girl over the other either. Thats appropriate, they are both extremely deserving.
