May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey be plump May your potatoes and gravy Have never a lump May your yams be delicious And your pies take the prize, And may your Thanksgiving dinner Stay off your thighs! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone... |

I spent the AM at the Ashenfelter 8K, helping to honor the 1952 Olympic Steeplechase champion and former WR holder Horace Ashenfelter. I saw TFFlyer there.
Jaygray, A young lady from your neighborhood won the women's race...Stephanie Pancoast (Spelling?) - a grad student at Stanford, she steepled at Cornell (I think)...kind of appropriate, huh?...and check out who she beat to win: http://www.compuscore.com/cs2010/novdec/a8k.htm (hopeful that's right...I'm guessing at the link...it may take a bit 'til it shows.) Headed to Mom's shortly. Wayne

Published November 1, 2008. From Cook's Illustrated. Microwaving or reheating leftover turkey in the oven often dries it out. To keep the meat moist, place slices of leftover turkey in a steamer basket set in a pot of simmering water (...or turkey broth-WiT) , then cover the pot with a lid and check it every few minutes. The turkey heats up quickly and stays juicy[/QUOTE] ![]() ![]()

Hellloooo, Mrs. Dillon.
Love when the connection of voice to writing happens. Usually...usually the mental image created by writing is matched by vocals, but also always enhanced -- like you say, another dimension. So sorry my phone ran out of juice. |

Remember, the world is full of people who are too dumb to know they weren't supposed to do something. Too dumb to know they weren't supposed to go to Harvard, or be a doctor, or run a 2:27 marathon. Perhaps the folks who don't know any better will inherit the earth. My 16 year old (the Mighty James) and I will be staying in Harvard Square for three days around Marathon weekend this April. Tuesday after the Marathon we drive down to Rhode Island to see Brown. After that, we drive over to Cornell. It would be good to intersect with Team Dillon somewhere in all that. |

Spidey,
If he'll consider Princeton, maybe WE could get together! And maybe I'll get up to the Boston area for the race. Wayne

The Mighty James is a 10th grader, he grimaces now when his mom calls him Baby Poobles. College still a couple years away. He is getting close to 6-feet tall. And now I can't get him to cut his hair because some girl told him she likes it long ( . . . you gals have tremendous power).

Tell him the girls just say those kinds of things to measure the strength and influence of their feminine aura, and to separate the easily manipulated boys from the independently resolute men. Then remind him that the surest way to keep a lady's interest piqued at max is to always act as though he didn't even hear the remark or at least forgot it ten seconds later. Be sure to say all this in the presence of his mother, so as not to miss her reaction, thereby maximizing the pleasure of the whole experience.
