"It’s impressive enough just to make the U.S. Olympic team, but Jeff Porter added some flair to it with a dramatic finish as the former Franklin High School star continued New Jersey’s great run at the U.S. Olympic Trials on Saturday"
http://www.nj.com/hssports/blog/boys...h_dramati.html And a look ahead to tonight "While the final should be a much faster paced race since some guys need the A Standard, I’d be shocked if Andrews didn’t get a top 3 spot". |

" Watching Culley, a true Jerzee girl out of North Hunterdon High and Rutgers, wave a U.S. flag Juliie Culley celebrates her victory and berth on the U.S. Olympic team. as she jogged around Hayward Field after the race with a smile that seemingly stretched from Eugene to her hometown of Clinton, N.J. was so inspiring and uplifting. It's an image I will never forget, and a day that will go down as one of the best in NJ track and field history"
http://www.nj.com/hssports/blog/boys...irational.html Edited to correct title for proper name. My bad

2. Robby Andrews
Andrews has a rare tactical intelligence for a runner his age (21), an ability to close well in both fast and slow races, and a gift at shifting gears in the final 50 meters. He is the least experienced 1500 runner in the field, but could one day be the best. http://olympictrials.runnersworld.co...-open-for-men/ |

Porter had such a low profile before the Trials that he doesn't even have a bio on the USATF website. I'm sure that will change sometime soon.

Quote:
the USATF web site is a complete catastrophe and has been for years total garbage impossible to navigate. hilariously lacking in info [no all-time US lists, no updated bios, no Trials history, etc.]. just completely useless. not surprisingly the IAAF site, on the other hand, is very, very good |

Gaymon ran very tough
5th in 49.41 looked like he wobbled a little coming off 9 trying to close on 3rd but gathered himself and finished strong |
