Summer Racing

Ben Sathre is in the start list for the USA Half Marathon Champs (at Grandma's this weekend) for his debut 1/2. There are a lot of other MN runners in there too but I think he's the most recent graduate listed:
Start Lists

Kara Goucher and Abdi Abdirahman are the headliners for the race. I hope the weather is nice for spectating!

State boy's record at the USATF MN JO's this past weekend in the pole vault. Nice.

At the illustrious Burnsville 2 mile race Oc Akway took first with a 10:30, senior from Orono (not sure on the name) 10:34, Ali Ahmed 3rd, and Faysal 4th. Not many notables out this year compared to previous years. Lakeville South girls came out.

Not as well advertised this year when compared to past?

No, my brother or anyone else didn't put anything out this year. Burnsville's younger runners seem to be in better shape at this point compared with last year. It'll be interesting to see who takes well to Coach Webbers training at years end.

Matt Rosen and Shane Streich recently competed at the USATF Junior Olympics, I'm sure someone that's less lazy could post a link to the results. I hear Shane won an event?

That course must be short. There is a bunch of no-names running somewhat fast.
