This is tough. Not knowing what everyone is doing is really a big factor so I'm spitballing. Here we go:
Let's just clear some thing's up: - Willig could potentially run the: 1600, 800, DMR, or 4x800. - Team's that could go stacked relays or go with the individual events- North Penn, Council Rock North, Great Valley, Strath Haven, Cardinal O'Hara, Henderson, and Holy Ghost Prep. (Other notables could be DTW or Pennsbury) - Magaha out (But we all know that) 800- Wilig. Favorite if he run's it. Even if Willig has a "bad" day and pulls only a 1:54-55. He still has Horgan, the next best time, by a second. So besides Willig, I like Horgan. I've liked him all season. He's my X-factor for this race. Along with Stone and Coyle however, a very nice push in the race could put Horgan and the LaSalle duo into deeper times. My sleepers are 2 runners out in the Ches-Mont League. Billy Wolfe (Great Valley) and Steve Yannacone (Unionville). Two pretty solid 800 runners that can make some noise if they do well. Mile- Again, Willig. Who would've thought. Again, assuming if he run's. No surprise. But I'm not gonna say he goes uncontested. Russell of Henderson (my x-factor) pulled out a very solid 4:23 one mile which converts to about a 4:21. He is in his prime at a very good point. McCauley of NP, Seelus and Hummler of Strath Haven, Hibb's of HH, Coyle and Stone of LaSalle, Harriman of Pennsbury (my sleeper), and, heck, throw in Israel of HGP. Let's say Brett Kelly runs the 3k. All of these guys in one race= a really fun show. That will be exciting. Everyone so close pushing each other for that next spot could lead to some huge time drops. Willig is gonna have to get out well. Oh and also, who ever said Dustin Wilson would do the 3k? A little craziness to think about there. 3k- Wilson. Clear favorite......right? (I'll get to that later). What will be interesting is the entire O'Hara crew. Yeah that is some great team running right there. Pastore (sleeper #1), Pitone, Savage, and Billota. That's a pretty nice set right there. Ferruzzi is going to step up big time I think. He is a pretty good that has some talent that I think may be undervalued by some. He's my X-Factor. Then there come's Kelly who i think will work with not just Ferruzzi, but Ryan DeBarberie (sleeper #2). Who? Yeah that's right. Out of Lansdale Catholic, he pulled out a 9:00.27. He's due. I would like to see him in that mix. But wait, there's more! How can you forget about Aziz. I believe he is the only kid that can contend with Dustin. He has a 9:28 3200 time (if you're doing a 37 second conversion, thats an 8:51 3k) to his name this indoor season and that is dangerous. Upset special, Aziz over Wilson. Call me crazy, but it makes things more entertaining. Other head turners- Ryan Dickson CB south, Nico Metzler CB west, Mac Emery CR north, Kenny Leidel DT west, Lyle Wistar GFS, Kazanjian bros. Penncrest, A.J. Chaborek Henderson, and Chris Trimble and Dan Davis North Penn. I'm sure I forgot some names. Good luck to everyone this weekend! Last edited by 2ndWind : 02-16-2012 at 10:37 PM. |
