Post your scores! My score was 1,017 wpm the first time but that's definitely too high. The story I had to read was Alice in Wonderland, so I was already pretty familiar with it. I took it again and I was 657 wpm.

523 first time. 578 second. 578 third. I was impressed with this since I haven't read anything but textbooks for classes in probably a year at least.

400 both times. This would be my non-fiction rate. For fiction I usually slow down and really enjoy the story as it comes and get a really good picture of what is happening in my head.

I have never read anything where speed was the important thing. Speed in reading....why?
