Justin Rabon has put together an impressive weekend -- 400 and 200 champ in D2, fastest 200m of the day, 22.06 into a headwind, D2 record in the 4x4 prelims last night, and still the finals of that event to come.

Niki Rhyan has been a solid runner in track and xc for her entire career. This is an example senior who competed well when it mattered most. Just a few weeks ago broke 2:20 for the first time.

As a BCHS alumni, I could not be any happier for junior Carl Hirsch. And despite Brookfield East being our cross town rival and all, I couldn't be happier for Brad Johnson, Trenton Daniels, Kevin Kashian and Karl Brandstaetter. What a weekend for Brookfield distance running.

Imagine if there was only one Brookfield high school. Their 4x8:

Amir Alwan - Trenton Daniels - Brad Johnson - Carl Hirsch

1:54.9 - 1:52 - 1:52 - 1:50...they could probably run 7:30!

Heard there was a re-run in the Boys D1 4x4, but the results don't show that anyone was DQed. Anyone know what happened?

Looks like the results have Milwaukee Riverside DQed...

On another note, Marathon got DQed in the D3 race and it cost them the overall team title as they ended up 1.5 points behind Edgar instead of getting the few points they would have received finishing on the podium.

It's awesome that the Arrowhead program made a statement to the WIAA about the absurdity of the rule. Or maybe they were just worrying about the health and well-being of their athletes.

Anybody know what happened in D3? A team title decided on a DQ, wow!

Sandvold I had at 1:53.0 and so did his coaches. I had Hirsch at 1:48.9 line to line. 52/56.

By the way...I think I know what Hirsch listens to when he warms up.
