Sisson did not know what the record was... maybe it's best that way! She was hoping to break 16.

Not sure on Hasay's PR. I know Sisson ran 16:20 at KU Relays so this would be a ~31 second improvement. In 2009 she ran pretty much a solo effort to win NON in 16:34.

This race does come after her 3k where she put up another great performance:

Position Bib Athlete Country Mark .
440 Mercy Cherono KEN 8:55.07 (WJL)
253 Emebet Anteneh ETH 8:55.24 (PB)
129 Layes Abdullayeva AZE 8:55.33 (NJ)
447 Purity Cherotich Rionoripo KEN 8:56.91 (PB)
161 Tejitu Daba BRN 9:01.22 (NJ)
264 Genet Yalew ETH 9:01.75 (PB)
128 Jennifer Wenth AUT 9:09.20 (NJ)
511 Hannah Newbould NZL 9:15.68 (PB)
680 Jordan Hasay USA 9:15.78 (PB)
698 Emily Sisson USA 9:16.80 (PB)

298 Emelia Gorecka GBR 9:18.43 .
424 Haruka Kyuma JPN 9:22.13 .
461 Karla Diaz MEX 9:23.22 (NJ)
637 Tugba Karakaya TUR 9:23.65 (PB)
560 Gulshat Fazlitdinova RUS 9:25.32 .
510 Laura Nagel NZL 9:25.91 (PB)
195 Mojie Cao CHN 9:27.96 .
418 Kanako Fujiishi JPN 9:28.04 (SB)
619 Mary Naali TAN 9:42.51 (PB)
634 Esma Aydemir TUR 9:43.03 .
463 Laura Galván MEX 9:47.09 .
186 Caroline Pfister CAN 9:47.55 (SB)

And as otisbhxc said she is going to Wisconsin.
