Some comments...
The musical chairs continue for the top three spots, now adjusted based on the Lake Conference results. No big deal (seriously).

Moorhead moves up to #5 over Stillwater. Not sure if they deserve it yet, but we will see soon enough.

Andover is starting to enjoy a well-deserved steady climb up the rankings. Very underrated team with underrated runners. Can't wait to see what they do at State...

Josh Thorson should not have moved up IMO. And Momo should not have fallen so far. And Bratrud should not be at #5. Should be Bartnik, O'Brien, Zutz, Gemar, Thorson (or Thorson, Gemar), Dado, Bratrud, Inde, Momo, and Blahnik for the top ten.

Also, I'm starting to notice Caleb LeClaire from Rogers. He might be someone to watch the rest of the season. Not close to being ranked (yet, at least), but worth watching.

i may not be keeping up with the happenings around the state this year as much as i usually like to. someone please tell me how eden prairie, of all schools, has a depth problem? 3 guys in the top 11 and they aren't the top team in state? is their 4th guy running 18 minutes?

The teams have gotten rediculously better since you graduated...two years ago

Seriously, don't even pay attention to the top three sopts. There is a revolving door between EP, Wayzata, and Edina. All we know is that those three teams are the three best teams in the state, but the order is unclear.

EP does have a depth problem, but only compared to Wayzata and Edina. To give you the best idea about the talent level of these three teams see this meet...

Edit: in warning, this is a fast course, so don't be fooled too much by the times...

Heck yes!

And again, I'll be in Minnesota this weekend for NIRCA Regionals.

And looking, they don't even have a race this week. Andover runners: you should all come cheer on one of your alumni at Elm Creek this Saturday.

The depth at the top pecking order has gotten better. I wouldn't necessarily say the teams have gotten better. For the past 10+ years there has always been at least one team that has been close to, if not ranked in the top 25. Most years it is only one team that is in that range.
I would definitely say that this is the most high quality of depth at the top of the state for teams for the top 8.

Could the '08 Wayzata boys beat the top 3 teams?

Comparing them to Marshall '04, Willmar '06... Ken, I looked for the thread where you have the All-Time Teams list compiled against the 25th place runner, but was unable to find it on the archived threads. Any chance you can compile that after state and post it then?

Too bad "ur buddy" and his ponies have been falling behind over the last month, and I would like to see the results of this conference race where he supposedly ran 15:30. It's also too bad that ur no good Eastview is about to get another 3rd place finish (the second one in 3 weeks) at section 3aa. I can't wait to see the results.
