how can you possibly claim that it is ridiculous to equate selling food to going one mile over the speed limit, yet it is totally fine to equate selling food to selling beer out of a truck? Just because all three of them are illegal doesn't mean they are all the same. They should be treated differently since they are all different scenarios. The fact that they are kids selling brownies merely means they should get the benefit of the doubt, more so than a 40 year old man selling beer.
What I find ridiculous are the reactions from people who suggest that the kids' business would open a floodgate for other businesses (seeing as the kids were raking it in), that the parents are somehow stupid for allowing their kids to have a bake sale, or that the kids had malicious intentions to hurt someone/knowingly do illegal things for their own benefit.
