Haven't been
to a boat show in 20 years or so. I figure that's about right!
Mainly pontoon boats, runabouts, and bass boats. I was looking for a deck boat that would serve as a family boat and would be a fish/ski/party boat combo. They only have a few and wanted about $50K for them - way more than I want to pay! I'll wait around and look for used ones - in no hurry....

doged tornados last night
they went north and south of us and I slept through most of it. An EF3 ripped through north subdivisions of Birmingham about 3 am. 3 confirmed dead, close to 200 homes destroyed.
Round two comes through on Thursday....would trade this for a little snow and ice!

no problems here
not even a downed limb. North and south of us had an EF3 and EF2 respectively. The EF3 killed two (they dropped the confirmed number from 3 to 2 - was one of them resurrected?
 ). Between the two of them there were some 200 injuries - about 20 some odd hospitalizations.Round 2 is expected Thursday.

Good thing you run marathons!
The round 2 storms came through today and we just got heavy rain and some wind - no more tornados! The cold front has moved through and the temp has dropped all the way to 56 at 10:00pm - that is our normal high for this time of year. The Weather Man says the temp will fall into the low 40s and we might hit freezing sometime this weekend - but the highs will still be in the 60s. Just way too warm for Jan. - even for us!

John J. Kelley, Jacquelins Hansen and Billy Mills
Maybe I missed the posts but I have not seen anything anywhere about the two magazines I received yesterday. Fantastic Articles!
"Marathon & Beyond", the Jan, Feb 2012 edition, has a fantastic painting of John J. Kelley on the cover . The great article entitled "Johnny" inside is written by Rich Englehart. The magazine also has an excellent article outlining a history of "The Women's Movement" by Jacqueline Hansen. The March 2012 edition of Runner's world also has a fantasic article which is a must read for all runners. Called "Racing Split" it is Billy Mills Story written by Kenny Moore. In fact, all three articles are must reads! Enjoy them! I did and will do so again.

Saw that Geoff Hollister (Nike) passed away yesterday. He had been battling cancer and I just heard over the weekend that he was in hospice. The running world also lost Jerry Quiller (former Colorado coach) last week. Two special men.
