Of course when he says we raced, he means that in the loosest possible sense. We ran in the same races.

Sucks about the knee though; I thought maybe it had been diagnosed as something. I'm sure you know everything I know about dealing with injuries though, haha, so I won't bother with that whole speech.

When my knee was broken and I couldn't run, the only thing I found that could sort of replace it and keep me sane was swimming, and of course since I couldn't use my knee, I just had to use the pull buoy for a few months. I did become a much better swimmer and put on ~10 pounds of muscle though, so I won't say it was a total waste!

Come on, it's obviously Team Jacob.

(Full disclosure: I've never seen or read any Twilight movies or books.)

I read the first two Hunger Games books over the weekend, because I got tired of not being able to participate in any of those conversations whenever people starting talking about them. I'll get to the third one eventually. Probably this weekend.

Finnick is hands down the best character so far.

Default droppin by to say hi!

Bout to head out to watch the daughter vault at a local meet. Don't expect a lot of competition today except from her team mates. Last year only a handful of vaulters came to the meet - and they were from small schools.

Hope everyone enjoys the beautiful spring weather!

Default Don't get the link....?

Daughter jumped a little better - still needs to get the timing down on this new pole. The flex is very different and she just hasn't worked out how long to invert so she releases going up instead of out into the pit.

You have peeping Toms? Only toms around here are turkeys!

Got a little sunburn - even from sitting in the shade all day and with my wide brimmed hat! Ah Springtime!

I went to the beach yesterday and fell asleep in my chair... and then when I woke up I was extremely sunburned. It hurts to move today. I get about one sunburn like this a year, and it's always terrible, and I never learn

Started peeling yesterday. Good news is that it should be pretty much done by Tuesday when I have to see anyone of importance. Until then I can just camp out in my house.

About to try to make some steaks in the oven with cast-iron... my buddy told me about this and said it was really good. We'll see. They're just T-bones though, so how good can they really be?
