Default Going to T-Town

tomorrow to watch the Crimson Classic vaulting. I expect I'll be wearing shorts and Tevas from hear until fall (except when I have to go to work). What a warm strange winter we've had! Had some much needed rain yesterday and today to wash away some of this pollen! We had been in extreme pollen conditions for about a week! Rough on the sinuses! Hope everyone gets a chance to get out and enjoy spring this weekend!

The pollen has been the worst. I spent about 6 hours working on my car earlier today and I could barely see, my eyes were so itchy. It helped my tan though.

any of the nice rain we got here? It rained nice and steady for several hours straight and really helped clear the air!

Hey Patti how's Donald Driver doing on Dancing with the Stars? That guy is easily the most genuine person in the NFL, definitely a class act. I wouldn't be surprised if he had some good dance moves.

He was a monster high jumper too, I just found out recently. I didn't know that.

Hmmmm. I think the last time I could hit that high note I was ten.

Over here in the NW, we had the Yakima River Canyon Marathon last weekend -- which gave us the privilege to run with Bob Dolphin on his 500th marathon. Bob is 80-something and he and wife Lenore are the race directors of this beautiful old-school marathon. Unfortunately it was snowing (!) the first five miles. Oy. I wanted a 10-minute BQ but at least made the 5-minute BQ, hopefully that will get me in next year. Had the pleasure of seeing the great Mary Hanna almost win the women's race. Mary is the course record holder at Yakima, but is now age 50. But she almost ran down the 20 year old who won the women's race, coming just 20 seconds short after making up something like two minutes in the last three miles. Anyway, she's my nominee for hero of the week.

Oh, and Mary is running Boston, two weeks after Yakima. As is my friend Jen, who finished third at Yakima. Tough crowd I got out here.
