Default Welcome back stranger!

Doin' fine here - enjoying the warm spring.

Glad your kids are doing well!

Truth be told, it doesn't. But I think Seattle-ites tend to do better in spring marathons than fall marathons. Our winters are dark and drizzly, but we don't get much snow, and it is pretty good weather for running in sweat-suits, vests, tights, etc. But the special feature here is -- there is not much else to do all winter except train. Or maybe ski. But it is too dark to bike, and it is cold enough that slowing down (meaning walking) won't keep you warm. So I think a lot of us get a pretty good season of training in. During summer, there are a million other things to do.

Patti -- you sound well. But did I miss a memo? What lump?

Default Glad the knee is getting better!

Sounds like a good spring up there!

I keep reminding myself that "round" is a shape too!

Thinking of you, Patti, this morning as I sip my French press coffee. Hadn't made my coffee that way in awhile. Yum!

Went to our local HS league finals this week. It was interesting to be at a meet like that with "no dog in the fight." Much less stressful to watch a track meet without an emotional connection to a competitor! I was treated to some awesome racing. This league is among the toughest in So. Cal.

On a rougher note, the assistant principal at the middle school I work at in the mornings died tragically a week ago. Their family owns a berry farm and a tractor she was riding on flipped and rolled over on her. She was an incredible woman and loved by many. She was only 37 and leaves behind a husband and 2 very young children. Our school, school district and community responded amazingly.

Stuggling a bit to get back into a better running routine after the broken wrist. Got to get that determination back and stop missing days.

Default I'm so very sorry

for the loss of your friend Ruth! I hope the community and her family heals very soon. With the support of a large group it should be easier on the family than if they suffered alone.
