This weekend some friends will be doing four marathons in four days, finishing with Seattle on Sunday. But all will be a good deal slower than Jaguar.
A slightly larger number will do two in two days, with the "Ghost of Seattle" run on Saturday, then the Seattle Marathon on Sunday. The Ghost run is on the original Seattle Marathon course, which is along the lake so you can run on sidewalks without needing traffic control. Though to confess, I have never really had a desire to do back-to-backs. I figure if I run one, I am entitled to a lot of donuts for a few days, and no more marathons. What race is next in Jaguar-land? |

Happy T-Day. My favorite holiday. It just sneaks up on you mid-weak, and next thing you know you're in a long line buying butter, cream, whole milk and not feeling guilty.
Perhaps the main reason to keep running at my age: guilt-free Thanksgiving eat-a-thon. Thankful for broken in shoes, still functioning knees, growing kids, trophy wife, and good friends. |
