Hope everyone's day is off to the same great start mine is! It is absolutely gorgeous here, and much appreciated after all the rain. Drove around looking at Christmas lights last night and saw some amazing displays. Got to spend time with Michael (me on the bike & him running). Now the boys are out with dad for some last minute shopping. I've got dough rising for cinnamon rolls, chili started in the crockpot for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner. Candlelight service at church starts at 4:30. Now sitting back with a cup of tea and an Andrea Bocelli concert video on TV and my dog by my side. All is good!
Merry Christmas to all of you! |

I walked along Wilshire Blvd this morning, the only morning that there is no one there.
I just watched "Miracle on 34th Street". Time for a nap. I wish Everyone a Very Happy Holiday Season! |

Merry Christmas! It seems that folks are well -- Ruth has avoided mud slides, Patti has avoided blizzards, and Orville is napping.
Christmas has always seemed busy in the medicine-biz as half the staff is missing but all the hospitals are all open. So a while ago I realized that if I did true industrial level shopping on top of work, I'd need about a month in Tahiti to recover every year. Herego, a few years back we changed to a system where we buy for the kids but not the grownups (insert Humbug here). But it's been a good system. I think it lets us focus on food at Christmas, more than stuff. Which is great as the lovely Mrs Spidey is a foodie, and I am now digesting Chinese stuffed-chicken (stuffed with rice with mushroom and sausage) with sundry side dishes and a good glass of white. Hope your Christmas is as good as mine. I meet the long-run gang tomorrow AM to try and jog this off. |

Most of the snow has now stopped here. I'd guess we have somewhere between a foot and 18 inches, with drifts up to 3 feet. Winds are still fierce.

The snow has now stopped here also. My local Weather Underground reports about 12 inches yesterday and another 2 or so overnight, with drifts up to 3 feet. Winds are still strong 16-18 mph average, gusts to 35 .
Lots of lightning in the late night hours of yesterday. They called yesterday Snow with Frozen Fog*-a term I do not remember hearing before. Temps near 20 f , back to bed for an hour or so-just because I can .*FrozenFog Quote:
