State Meet Time Schedule

Anyone have an approx. time schedule for day 1 of the D1 state meet. I just want to check my schedule with another...

boys 4x800 (4:30)
girls 100h
boys 110h
girls 100m
boys 100m
girls 1600m
girls 4x2
boys 4x2
girls 400m
boys 400m
girls 4x100
boys 4x100
girls 300h
boys 300h
girls 800m
girls 200m
boys 200m
boys 3200m
girls 4x400
boys 4x400

I don't know why they can't do a time schedule for the state meet. They set one for the D1 sectional meet... Would it be that bad to let parents, fans, athletes, coaches... know what time the gun was going to go off.

I have always wondered that myself. It would make it so much better for the fans, media and most importantly, the athletes that are trying to plan their warmup properly. Even if they got a few minutes off of the time schedule, you would still have some frame of reference. Drake Relays is able to plan their schedule down to the minute and keep very close unless there is a weather delay.

Sorry, but I don't have an answer to your question however. I know most coaches try to put together an approximate schedule so hopefully someone can post one.

With 95 degree temps predicted for friday and 86 for saturday, might they invoke this?

2) If high temperatures and/or high humidity occurs, the WIAA with the advice of
the State Meet medical personnel may revise the track schedule to have the 3200
meter run be the last event on both Friday and Saturday.

That'd change everything around quite a bit.

Not for division one on Friday. I am not too sure how they would handle that for division two and three since the end of their meet will during the hottest part of the day. Maybe have the 3200m run first?

Moving it back 30 mins probably won't help the 3200 runners much... Also, for the D1 meet on day 1 taking the 3200m out and putting it after the 4x4 would leave a lot of 800 runners that run the 4x4 with about 20 mins recovery. Just another reason to create a time schedule for the state meet.

I thought the same thing about the 30 minutes. I was interpreting as they would move the 3200m for d2/3 after the d1 meet. that actually would make a difference. running in what i hear could be 97 degrees now is borderline unsafe, especially for a 32 but i'd guess even for the 8

I'm sure that they will keep the same order for most of the events. I can see the D2 & D3 3200 being moved to the evenings. There's a few teams who have 3200 runners running the 4x800!
