My predictions are:

Isaac Honegger of Zurich ftw in the deuce (8:57)
London Hawk of Thornwood second to Tom King of New Trier in the mile (4:07.3-4:07.6)
Leland Later of New Trier second to the one and only Sheldon Magee of Plainfield South in the 800 (1:49.4-1:50.15)
Sorry for not winning the 2 mile, guess it just wasn't my night.

I went back and watched the race again...at about going into the gun lap, Kidder went by him in lane 3, Driggs looked to the right, did a double take and tried to move...but Kidder was gone.

Kidder only a junior ran 2:06/2:00...kudos to him.
So many great races

Head flop finally caught up with King. Anyone know if Driggs' late seaon injury affected his training schedule enough to cost him a shot at matching or beating last year's time?

However, in the case of Fayette, the situation in no way changed from before sectionals to saturday of the state meet. He simply decided he didn't want to run the 1600 along with the 3200 (regardless of the fact that all of the other top athletes were doing that). This is a decision that, in my opinion, should have been made prior to the sectional meet.

And to address the above poster, which other athletes did that this year?
What about this situation in 2A:

Matt Hall ( Illiana Christian) - All State in Xc (22nd), so he is a good runner. Won the 3200 at Sectionals, running just to win. Took 2nd in the 1600 at Sectionals, basically pacing his freshman teammate for the win and then settling back on the last lap. He opts out of both of them at state to run the 4 x 800, which takes 11th place. I can see running the 3200 and qualifying to see where you might be, but then running and taking 2nd in the 1600, knowing you aren't going to run it at state made it tough to see. I know it's the runner's responsibility ro either hit the time or place, but if you are just taking spots for the sake of taking them, that's not very sportmanlike. Just my 2 cents.
